Cane (Wewal) craftsmanship is a centuries-old tradition rooted in the island’s artisanal heritage. Guided by Shane, a generational master weaver from Weweldeniya, you weave a mini basket, hairband or another design. Discover the meditative, immersive art of traditional cane weaving — a beautiful way to connect with heritage craftsmanship — and take home your own unique Wewel creation.
