The Adivasi Experience

A rare journey with the Dambana Vedda tribe.

Peek into the lives of the Adivasi of Sri Lanka, the Veddas, deeply connected to the land and carrying wisdom and stories. Witness songs, poems and storytelling from a senior tribe member, then join a jungle excursion to harvest wild bees’ honey, cook wild yams in the jungle, eat fresh native food and visit the last stone house still used in Dambana. The price includes two nights’ accommodation at a villa in Mahiyanganaya and basic meals. Part of the proceeds support @adivasiadvocacy, championing the rights of South Asia’s indigenous groups.
